It’s Christmas—my favorite season of the year! Many will be busy shopping for gifts for someone special in your life. Christmas has evolved into a widely celebrated cultural holiday of gift-giving, family and festive traditions.
While its roots are in honoring Jesus’ nativity, modern celebrations blend religious meaning with secular customs like Santa Claus, trees and feasts, recognizing it is a time for joy, reflection and community.

The reason for this season of Christmas is to celebrate and commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, marking Him as our Messiah and Son of God who brought salvation and hope to those who believe, the promised Savior.

It is a fulfillment of the Old Testament prophesies, bringing “good news” and salvation from sin. He is Emmanuel—“God is with Us.”

What I love the most about Christmas is recognizing and acknowledging the divine goodness of our Savior and how much He loves us unconditionally.
May we all celebrate this holiday season by sharing our time and extending love and kindness to our fellow men—this is the greatest gift we can share to commemorate the birth of our Savior.

This Christmas season, as we all rejoice in the birth of Jesus Christ, may you all experience renewed hope, joy and peace.

From The Fil-Am Voice ‘ohana—wishing you all a blessed Christmas and a prosperous and joyous New Year!
