The scholarship funds were primarily raised by the Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce Foundation Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament chaired by William Ruidas (2nd from left) and co-chaired by Alfredo Evangelista (4th from left) and supplemented by various sponsors including the Tante & Araceli Urban Foundation (5th and sixth from the left).
